As with apartment or house shopping, once boat shopping commences you are looking at listings all the time. Some listings are more, curious, than others. Boats are curiosities to be sure, but these listing photos prove that the sellers might be the most curious.

1. New 2010

Did ya hear? This head was New in 2010. Just in case you don’t know how to read the listing, the owner wants to be sure you catch every upgrade. Afterall, a 7-year old head is better than a 20-year old one.

2. Tickle the ivories at sea

Where else can you find a full keyboard with a stain glass window and a (hopefully) up-to-date fire extinguisher? What else could the romantic, classically-trained, cigarette-smoking sailor hope for?

3. Baked on board

It’s not a snake or a mega-joint, could it be baked? We’re not sure the filling but this photo definitely filled in the gaps when this Newport 41 was listed. Hopefully, it made the right buyer drool.

4. B-A-N-A-N-A

Banana Laffy Taffy never looked so good! A yellow dodger with yellow decks, we’re just happy there’s no yellow rain involved. I swear, I looked at the interior and mechanism too, all with a slightly yellow hue.

5. Beached Buchan

We respect the Buchans and their boating chops, these Buchan 37’s remain eye-catching, none as much as this one. So, where would the survey begin?
